The Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union
The Hong Kong Chinese Christian Churches Union (HKCCCU) is a Christian organisation with a long and distinguished history. Founded in 1915, the Union was established through the joint efforts of seven Christian denominations: the London Missionary Society, the Anglican Church, the Congregational Church, the Rhenish Church, the Tsung Tsin Church, the Methodist Church, and the Baptist Church. In 1948, the Union was incorporated as a legal entity (Hong Kong Incorporation No. 1025).
Today, HKCCCU comprises 419 member churches, including 370 full member churches and 49 affiliated member churches, serving a Christian community of more than 200,000 believers.
Since its establishment, HKCCCU has been committed to providing holistic Christian education. Through its Education Committee, the Union has organised a wide range of initiatives, including public forums, thematic talks, and youth camps, to nurture the spiritual, intellectual, social, and personal growth of believers. It has also established scholarships to support theological education and nurture future Christian leaders. In addition, HKCCCU publishes the weekly Christian Weekly, which provides a platform for Christians and churches in Hong Kong to share perspectives and exchange ideas.
To put biblical teachings into practice and to encourage Christians to serve as a light and blessing to others, HKCCCU established Logos Academy in celebration of its 85th anniversary. As a through-train school integrating primary and secondary education, Logos Academy was founded in response to educational reform and reflects HKCCCU’s commitment to pursuing quality life, supporting quality education, and providing quality service to the community.
Guided by Christ’s love, HKCCCU will continue to serve the people of Hong Kong through evangelism, education, medical services, charitable work, publishing, and other ministries.
